Tour De Nez Outreach as a 501(c)3 charitable organization
From the very first time we held the event in 1992, we could see that the whole cycling thing was bigger than the Tour de Nez. It’s good for our bodies. Good for the planet. Good for creating community. Good for the soul. So we created the Tour de Nez Outreach, a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization, to operate the event.

The mission of Tour de Nez Outreach is to promote cycling as the ultimate environmentally sound, healthy, family-oriented, fun-for-all-ages, accessible, community-minded activity.

An innovative sports event promoter and entrepreneur, Healion has produced Nevada’s longest-running bicycle race and festival for the past 17 years. A civic and education-minded event organizer and manager, Healion has evolved the Tour de Nez into one of the most notable and celebrated races on the National Racing Calendar.

A manifestation of Healion’s “cultural creative” approach to event management, the Tour de Nez integrates competitive cycling with community-oriented events, music, art, movies, food and assorted mayhem into an almost weeklong celebration of cycling. An amateur competitor and lifelong cycling enthusiast, Healion created the first coffeehouse in Nevada — Deux Gros Nez — which also housed a veritable museum of cycling memorabilia in its heyday.
